Background

I hail from India. I completed my bachelor’s in Agriculture and master’s in Agronomy in India. As part of my master’s course, I researched crop geometry and nutrient management in pulses under the system of crop intensification. I have wide experience working in the field with farmers, providing innovative solutions to sustainably increase livelihood security.

Current Research Work

The primary aim of the research is to address significant challenges associated with nitrogen management in corn cultivation. The research aims to optimize the use of enhanced-efficiency fertilizers to achieve long-term sustainability in corn production. Additionally, resin lysimeters will be used to predict nitrous oxide emissions and leaching. This predictive approach serves as the basis for developing strategies to reduce the environmental impacts of nitrogen management in corn cultivation. Together, these objectives form a comprehensive strategy to advance sustainable nitrogen practices in corn cultivation. In essence, these objectives constitute a comprehensive strategy poised to bring about benefits for farmers and make a meaningful contribution to the broader cause of global environmental stewardship.
